Forest Lodge is a specialist complex care home with nursing that supports up to 43 male service users and includes 24 hours nursing.
Forest Lodge is located in the Forest Gate area, close to all main shops and transportation within the Borough of Newham.
We are situated no more than 10 minutes from the Elizabeth line route at Forest Gate station with access to major links in and out of London and surrounding counties. Forest Gate Town has numerous shops available such as Tesco, Iceland which are situated close to Forest Lodge Care Home.


This specialist care home with nursing provides a safe, comfortable environment for up to 43 male service users. It caters to adult males with physical health conditions, mental health needs, and neurological or neurocognitive disorders such as Dementia, Huntington’s, Korsakoff’s and Alzheimer’s disease etc. Some service users may present with complex needs, a forensic history, and may be subject to Ministry of Justice restrictions.
The service is divided into three units:
- Atherton (ground floor) 14 beds.
- Claremont (1st Floor) 16 beds.
- Heartland (2nd Floor) 13 beds
Forest Lodge Care home have a specialist and dedicated team that compromises of registered general and mental health nurses, including a Registered Manager, Operations Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, Team Leader, Activities Coordinator and qualified care staff to support our Service Users 24 hours a day. Our unique person-centred approach encourages engagement with family involvement to create a responsive and service user led environment. Forest Lodge is a purpose-built environment that provides spacious modern amenities, specially adapted open communal spaces and direct access to secure landscaped external garden and grounds. We encourage our service users to personalise their bedrooms with all rooms offering en-suite bathrooms including access to large shared assisted bathrooms, where required.




This purpose-built facility is designed to provide modern amenities for all our service users. Each unit features a communal kitchen, lounge, dining room, and a wet room with disabled access. The bedrooms are bright, spacious, and equipped with en-suite facilities. Additionally, each unit provides easy access to a communal garden for all residents.
As a care home with 24-hour nursing support, we cater to a variety of health needs, including PEG care, catheter care, urostomy and colostomy management, pain management related to palliative care, and tissue viability care.
Referrals typically come from general hospitals, mental health hospitals, neuro-rehabilitation centres, older persons’ mental health services, or community services where placements have broken down due to challenging behaviours.

- 18+
- Complex needs / challenging behaviours.
- May have a diagnosis of abi/neurocognitive disorders.
- May have a mental health diagnosis.
- May have physical disabilities and/or complex needs.
- May have a range of complex needs.
- May have behaviours that challenge.
- May have risks requiring a more robust community placement.
- May have a forensic or significant risk history.
- May be informal, subject to dols, conditional discharges, CTO’s or on licence as directed by the parole board.
- May also present with a variety of physical and or neurological diagnoses such as any type of Dementia, Huntington’s, Korsakoff’s and Alzeheimer’s disease.
