Receiving an Outstanding rating at a first inspection is an exceptional accomplishment within adult social care and highlights the service’s commitment to delivering consistently high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

The inspection recognised the positive culture within the service, the strong leadership demonstrated by the management team, and the meaningful relationships developed between staff and residents. Inspectors highlighted the service’s focus on dignity, independence, and promoting positive outcomes for the people it supports.

This achievement is particularly significant as it reflects the hard work and commitment shown by colleagues across every area of the service. From frontline care and nursing staff to housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and leadership teams, everyone at Chestnut Lodge has played an important role in creating an environment where people feel safe, valued, and supported to live fulfilling lives.

The Outstanding rating also reinforces our wider organisational commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and delivering care that is responsive to individual needs.
