We are proud to introduce this month’s Employee of the Month nominations, celebrating the dedication, compassion, and professionalism demonstrated across our services.

Each month, Service Managers put forward nominations at our Corporate Clinical Governance meeting, recognising individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their roles. These nominations are then carefully considered and voted for, ensuring that the contributions of our colleagues are acknowledged at an organisational level.

The Nominess

This month, we are delighted to recognise the following nominees:

• Remya (Shepherds Corner) – progressing exceptionally well in her new role and making a positive impact within the team.

• Humphry (Ballater House) – praised for his calm and effective support of a service user in distress.

• Clara (Forest Lodge) – received excellent feedback during recent PMVA training, demonstrating strong skills and professionalism.

• Britney (Croham Place) – consistently puts service users first and confidently raises concerns to promote safety and quality.

• Lily (Chestnut Lodge) – recognised for completing tasks to a consistently high standard.

• Zeeshan (Heathvale House) – has recently stepped up and is a valued support to the management team.

• Clement (Langford Centre) – highly invested in his role and always goes above and beyond expectations.

Each of these individuals reflects the values we strive to uphold—delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care, while supporting both colleagues and service users.

The Winner

After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce this month’s Employee of the Month winner as: Sophie – Glenhurst Lodge!

Sophie has been a valued member of the team for approximately nine months, bringing both skill and dedication to her role as a qualified cook. She is a pleasure to work alongside and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that service users receive meals that are not only nutritious, but also enjoyable and thoughtfully prepared.

Sophie approaches her role with patience, positivity, and a great sense of humour. Responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and the preparation of three meals each day, she regularly demonstrates creativity and problem-solving, treating each day as a new challenge and finding innovative ways to deliver high-quality meals, including a variety of soups and dishes. Impressively, she has maintained exceptional standards without ever missing a mealtime.

She is welcoming and accommodating to visitors, and her cakes and desserts are particularly well-loved by all who try them, highlighting the care and passion she brings to her work. Sophie has also shown outstanding teamwork, going the extra mile to support the weekend cook on her days off. She ensures continuity by adapting menus, ingredients, and cooking methods where needed, maintaining both food safety and the high standards that Glenhurst Lodge is known for.
