Exciting Developments Driving the Future of Our Services

May 20, 2026

We are proud to introduce The Willows, a beautifully refurbished 24-bedded care home with 24-hour nursing, designed to support adult males with a wide range of complex needs within a welcoming and homely environment.

Ideally located close to Junction 2 of the M25 and just one mile from Dartford train station, The Willows is easily accessible for families, professionals, and visitors, ensuring individuals remain connected to their support networks.

The service has been carefully developed to support individuals with physical health needs, mental health conditions, neurological conditions, and behaviours that may challenge. Our approach is firmly rooted in person-centred care, offering tailored support that enables individuals to live as independently as possible within the least restrictive environment.

Our highly skilled nursing and care teams are experienced in supporting a broad range of clinical and complex needs, including:

  • PEG care
  • Catheter, urostomy and colostomy management
  • Pain management, including palliative care
  • Tissue viability care

The Willows is also equipped to support individuals subject to Ministry of Justice (MoJ) restrictions, Conditional Discharge, Community Treatment Orders (CTOs), and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), as well as those on licence as directed by the Parole Board. Referrals are welcomed from a variety of settings, including low and medium secure units, neurorehabilitation services, locked rehabilitation hospitals, older persons’ mental health services, and community placements where additional support is required.

The Willows offers a bright, spacious setting with a strong emphasis on comfort, accessibility, and quality of life. Each floor benefits from:

  • Communal kitchenettes
  • Comfortable lounge and dining areas
  • State-of-the-art fish tanks, creating a calming and engaging environment

Individual bedrooms provide a peaceful, personalised space, with en-suite options available, alongside a fully accessible communal wet room. An on-site lift ensures all residents can access the secure garden area, encouraging outdoor activity and wellbeing.

To ensure the right environment and support for each individual, The Willows is divided into three units:

Foxglove – Ground Floor (7 beds)

Supporting working-age men with neurological conditions, mental health needs, and/or brain injuries, typically transitioning from psychiatric hospital settings. Foxglove provides a structured, supportive environment focused on independence, meaningful activity, and community.

Lavender – First Floor (9 beds)

Designed for older gentlemen with neurological and mental health needs, often transitioning from community placements that are no longer suitable. The service supports individuals living with conditions such as dementia, Huntington’s disease, Korsakoff’s syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, and schizophrenia.

Lilac – Second Floor (8 beds)

Supporting older men with mental health and neurodegenerative conditions who may also have physical disabilities. This floor provides enhanced nursing support for those experiencing deterioration in health or mobility.

At The Willows, we are committed to delivering care that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life. Through structured routines, meaningful engagement, and collaborative working with families and multidisciplinary teams, we support individuals to build confidence and achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.

This service represents a significant step forward in our continued mission to provide high-quality, specialist care in environments that truly feel like home.
